HEIC to JPG Converter
Turn iPhone photos (HEIC) into JPGs that open anywhere. Batch convert in one go.
🔒 Files never leave your deviceWhat this tool does
This tool converts iPhone HEIC (HEIF) photos to JPG or PNG. HEIC files are small, but they often won't open on Windows PCs, in work email, or on shopping and government upload forms. Conversion happens right inside your browser, and you can drop many photos at once and download them as a ZIP. Dimensions stay the same as the original.
How to use
- Pick the output format (JPG or PNG) and quality — the defaults work great.
- Upload or drop your HEIC photos. Many at once is fine.
- Download one by one or use 'Download all'.
FAQ
What is HEIC?
It's the default photo format on iPhone. Files are small, but they don't open on many Windows PCs and websites, so you often need JPG instead.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Conversion happens inside your browser and your photos are never sent anywhere.
Why is the first conversion a bit slow?
Chrome and Edge can't open HEIC on their own, so the first time your browser downloads a HEIC decoder (about 0.7 MB). After that it's instant.
Is the date and location info kept?
No. The converted JPG/PNG doesn't include photo metadata (EXIF) such as capture date or GPS location — handy when you want to share without location data.
A photo shows 'Failed'.
The file may be damaged or an unusual HEIC variant (burst sequences, special HDR, etc.). If it keeps failing, email us via the link at the bottom so we can look into it.
Tips
- Quality 90 is practically indistinguishable from the original. Try around 80 for smaller files.
- To shoot JPG from now on, set iPhone Settings > Camera > Formats to 'Most Compatible'.
- If a site has a file-size limit, run the result through 'Resize Image to KB' — it accepts HEIC directly too.
